In its new home at the Broadway Mall in Hicksville, NY, the Michael Magro Foundation\u2019s Annual Car Show wowed the crowd of hundreds with more than 250 cars on display. Some came to see the classic cars; others were on hand to see muscle cars with elaborate special features while still others came to see the lavish luxury and exotic vehicles. All were there in support of the Michael Magro Foundation and its mission of easing the financial burden of families with a child battling cancer or other catastrophic illness. The August 15th<\/sup> event was chaired by Tom Galati and Larry Ruisi, longtime friends of the Foundation who mix their love of cars with their passion for the work of the Foundation to create a family-friends, community event that always pleases. This year, the event raised over $11,000 for Michael Magro Foundation programs, all of which directly benefit children battling cancer and their families.<\/p>\n Terrie Magro, organization co-Founder stated, \u201cIt fills my heart to see this event grow every year. We are thrilled to see so many people from the community come out for a. great evening and learn about and support our MMF families. We are so appreciative of the car owners for bringing out these remarkable vehicles to Broadway Mall and the local businesses that supported the event. The Foundation works with the Cancer Center for Kids at NYU Langone Long Island Hospital, Stony Brook Children\u2019s Cancer Division, and other NYU, Cohen\u2019s, and Stony Brook pediatric specialties where treatment of chronic diseases is ongoing, as well as with children\u2019s hospitals throughout Florida.
