Thank you to Natasha and the PwC Charitable Foundation for Raising over $3,000 for MMF

Natasha Puri, a friend of the Michael Magro Foundation since its early days, started helping out by spending nights stuffing envelopes during high school. As life got busier, she says “I’d always think about how Terrie, no matter what life threw at her, found the time to help whoever she could…and I knew I had to make time to do the same.” This led Natasha to be active while working at PwC in supporting the PwC Charitable Foundation, a section 501(c)3 organization that supports the people of PwC in times of need and invests in emerging solutions to society’s greatest challenges in education and humanitarianism.

In 2015, through a Crowdfunding campaign, she was able to raise $400 for the Michael Magro Foundation through donations from her colleagues and friends. Her pages description drew her colleagues in, reading “Have you ever met the kind of people who touch your heart and make you want to be a better person?

Terrie and Paul Magro are those people for me.” During 2016’s Crowdfunding campaign, from October to December, the PwC Charitable Foundation randomly selected twenty crowdfunders to receive $2,500. Crowdfunders that raised a minimum of $200 and had 15 unique PwC donors, were automatically entered into ‘Flash Fund Fridays’ for a chance to receive the grant.

Natasha was ecstatic the day she called Terrie to tell her the wonderful news of being one of the weekly winners, which provided an unrestricted grant that can be used to help the Michael Magro Foundation continue to fight to make life easier for families of chronically ill pediatric patients. In total, Natasha raised over $3,000 with the grant. Natasha reflects, “I didn’t think I’d be able to raise a significant amount of money, but understand that every little bit helps… I’m so proud to support Terrie and all the MMF does.”
