The Michel Magro Foundation partners with Smilist to provide dental products and promote good dental hygiene for NYU Langone Hempstead Pediatrics.
In May, the clinical staff at NYU Langone Hempstead Pediatrics reached out to MMF and asked if we could assist their families with a dental initiative. This staff was promoting good dental habits and realized that some families were running short on toothpaste and toothbrushes. When I was asked to assist their families, I reached out to some dental facilities for their assistance. The Dental hygiene program at Farmingdale State College asked some of their manufacturer representatives for samples. The initiative was for the entire family , adults and children. Farmingdale donated multiple boxes of toothpaste and the foundation filled in with individual wrapped toothbrushes and additional toothpaste.
In speaking with the staff at Hempstead Pediatrics, I decided to reach out to Smilist Dental to ask for some additional products. There marketing manager, Heather Dall’Aste was very engaging and collected boxes of child and adult toothbrushes and toothpaste to be distributed with some other items to each child in a translucent bag. The donation was plentiful and the project is ongoing.
